Students completed the Examining Protists Lab. Remember to study for tomorrow's test on Taxonomy, Viruses, Archaebacteria, Eubacteria and the immune system. Also, remember that your protist concept map and the lab questions must be completed after your test tomorrow.

Students collected bacteria from around the school in the Microorganisms in your Environment lab. Then the Immune System note was discussed. The 2 questions at the end of the note are homework.

Today students examined the beneficial roles of bacteria in ecosystems, in living organisms, and in industry/agriculture. Be sure to print off the immune system note for tomorrow.

Today we finished discussing how bacteria are classified. Students may now begin filling out the summary table of bacteria that was provided today. Then, students examined the 3 shapes of bacteria using microscopes. For homework, students are asked to complete the dichotomous key activity for bacteria.
