One more instruction....you should work on your Disorder project over the holiday. It will be due for presenting on Monday January 12th. Reminder, you can do a poster for a "gallery walk", or you can do a computer "slide show/powerpoint" for presentation to the class. Remember to have info on all the required criteria from the assignment sheet. If you've lost this sheet, I will post it on the blog later today.
Good morning SBI3C students. Happy Snow Day! The lab report Effect of Exercise on Blood Pressure and Heart Rate will be due on Tuesday Jan. 6th. I recommend that you work on this report over the holiday. Students who were present on Thursday know what to do. Absent students will have to get the data from someone. I will post a document under Class Notes to help you with this graphing of this data. You can post a comment to me through this blog if you have any questions/problems regarding this lab write-up.
Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and restful holiday. See you on Jan 5th.
On Thursday students performed the Effect of Exercise on Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Lab. Data was gathered on 3 students who ran for varying intervals of time. See next post for more info on this lab.

Today students had their second research class for their disorder project. There will not be any more class time to work on this project. It must be completed for homework. See your teacher if you have any questions about it.
On Monday students completed a worksheet on circulatory disorders and technologies.

On Friday, students finished the note on the circulatory system. We then dissected a cow heart and examined the external and internal anatomy of the heart.
On Thursday students continued to copy a note on the cardiovascular system. We also performed several smart board activities on heart anatomy.
